Early Adulthood – Israel

Dr. Schlesinger received his Rabbinic ordination (S’micha) in 1950 and became a teacher (“RaM”) in Yeshivat Bnei Akiva in Kfar Haroeh. It was at this time when he met his wife, Shulamith, whose family was among the founders of Kfar Haroeh.

Dr. Schlesinger got married to Shulamith Davidi in Kfar Haroeh, Israel in June, 1950.

Among the attendees was Rabbi Moshe Tzvi Neriyah, founder of the Bnei Akiva yeshivot in Israel. Rabbi Neriyah is the second person from the left of the photograph.
